Every year the grip of corporate power is strengthened
By those who hide in the shadows and contemplate
They introduce more despicable ways to lengthen
Their reign of power over impoverished nations and states
The billionaires with their control of worldwide resources
The arms conglomerates building their weapons of pain
The politicians who wilfully bow to their masters
Stealing wealth in their subservience to profit and gain

These people are desperate

For power and money and they want it now
To keep you down to keep you afraid

Why do we accept life in self imposed cages?
Tied up with debt and a deluded belief in success
And our illusion of a beautiful prosperous future
Just feeds their bloated maniacal excess

And they’ll strip the world right to the core
They’re so insatiable they want more, more, more
